The constituent congress of the World Armenian Organization (WAO) is a historical event of exclusive importance and we are very pleased that its first congress is being held in Moscow, Russian president Vladimir Putin said when addressing the WAO forum opened in Moscow today, Russian media reported. At that he expressed hope for the newly formed organization to make its contribution to further strengthening of the Armenian-Russian relations, which in his words are those between “two peers and allies.” Armenia and Russia withstand new challenges together, effectively cooperating in such a strategically important region as the Caucasus is, the Russian Federation leader said.
