BAKU CONCERNED OVER APPEARANCE OF IRANIAN MILITARY CUTTER IN CASPIAN SEA

Azerbaijan is concerned over the appearance of an Iranian military cutter in the Caspian Sea, as reported by RIA Novosti according to head of Azeri defense ministry press office Ramiz Melikov. The presence of “Peikan” military cutter is undesirable as it means the increase of tension in the Caspian basin. “Such an event can not cause a positive reaction”, – Melikov stated. As reported by Iranian mass media citing the words of Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Naval Forces Abbas Mokhtaj, the cutter launched the other day is to defend Iranian interests in the Caspian basin.
