Head of Constantinople Altar of the Armenian Apostolic Church, archbishop Mesrop Mutafian stated that the new coil of the anti Armenian propaganda engaged by the Turkish authorities is inadmissible. At the meeting held the other day with Turkish prime minister Recep Erdogan, the archbishop emphasized that the resolution on conducting seminars and contests in the educational institutions of the country having “Groundlessness of Armenian ideas” as a subject, adopted by the ministry of education, stirs up hatred toward Armenian population of Turkey in the minds of the growing generation. As reported by the Turkish mass media, Erdogan recognized Mesrop Mutafian’s position as just, noting that Turkish ministry of education should reconsider the curriculum next year.
