Armenia welcomes the creation of a free trade zone within the CIS framework, press secretary of the president Ashot Kocharian told journalists today. “We welcome all integration processes within the CIS. As of the opportunity of Armenia’s accession to the free trade zone, the issue is subject to serious consultation and long negotiations,” the press secretary noted. In his words, difficulties may arise in combining participation in the free trade zone with Armenia’s membership in the World Trade Organization.
