SOUTH CAUCASUS SECURITY ISSUES DISCUSSED IN VILNIUS

An international conference devoted to the issues of security in the South Caucasus opened today in Vilnius. As reported by Mediamax agency, the representatives of Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Baltic countries, Denmark, the US, Poland, Norway, Germany, Turkey as well as those of the NATO, European Union and OSCE are participating in the 2-day forum arranged by the Lithuanian defense ministry. The possibility of applying in the South Caucasus the cooperation experience of the Baltic countries as well as establishing the most appropriate ways for consolidation of stability in the region employing experience gained in cooperation with the NATO, are to be discussed in the course of the forum.
