Turkey does not intend to open the border with Armenia. As reported by Mediamax agency, Turkish foreign minister Abdullah Gul told journalists in Ankara upon the completion of the negotiations held with Azeri FM Vilayat Guliyev. A. Gul considers Armenian defense minister Serge Sargsian’s recent assumption regarding the possibility of opening the Armenian-Turkish border within next several months to be “far from reality”. “We wish to contribute to the process of Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, for once peace is achieved, the region will become a safe and prosperous one”, – Turkish MFA head stated.
