HEYDAR ALIYEV’S ELECTION CAMPAIGN CONDUCTED BY HIS PARTY INSTEAD OF HIM

Azeri president Heydar Aliyev continues receiving treatment in Cleveland hospital, US. As reported to ITAR TASS agency in Azeri embassy in Washington according to the hospital representatives, the “intensive cure” produces effect and Aliyev health is in better condition now. However, no certain terms for his leaving hospital are announced. As it was emphasized in the embassy, Aliyev had not undergone any operations. In the words of the diplomats, staying abroad does not create any juridical barriers for the president’s participation in the recurrent election. On the other hand, it deprives him of the possibility to conduct the election campaign drive by himself, so his party Yeni Azerbaijan is doing it instead him.
