The US Central Intelligence Agency warned Turkish special services that Islamic extremists are organizing a number of acts of terrorism using mine-strewn cars there. As reported by “ITAR-TASS” agency according to “Star” Turkish newspaper, upon receiving this information all Turkish power structures were brought to alert. The security forces began large-scale anti-terrorist operations in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir and Adana where residences of foreign diplomatic missions are located.
