To stimulate development of tourism in Eastern Anatolia the headquarters of the armed forces of Turkey have passed a historical decision, in compliance with which it is now allowed to take photos and video records of the sights situated in the closed military zone. As written by “Aksham” Turkish newspaper, Arminfo agency reported, the ruins of the ancient city of Ani, situated at the border with Armenia, and the area including Mount Ararat will be opened for tourists. According to the source, thereupon the Turkish defense ministry has drafted a bill, which is already introduced before the Parliament.
