ARMENIAN SUNDAY SCHOOL OPENED IN MERIDA SPANISH CITY

January 17 an Armenian Sunday school was opened in Merida Spanish city. As reported by chairman of “Fatherland” local Armenian organization Pavel Nazarian, 12 Armenian children aged from 5 to 14 attend the school. There are also Spanish, Argentineans, Ukrainians and Russians. Besides Armenian, literature and history, foreign languages and music are taught there. The school was opened with the support of the city administration and owing to the efforts of 12 Armenian families living in Merida, which has a population of 60 thousand.
