GOOD RELATIONS WITH VIRTUALLY ALL COUNTRIES VERY IMPORTANT FOR ARMENIA, RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR CONSIDERS

Good relations with virtually all countries are very important for such a small country like Armenia taking into account the availability of the huge diaspora. Russian ambassador to Armenia Anatoliy Dryukov told “Krasnaya Zvezda” Russian newspaper when commenting on the complementary nature of the Yerevan foreign policy course. In his words, the pan-Armenian idea underlies that policy. “Today one should judge of foreign policy being a success by concrete outcomes of cooperation with one or another country. From this point of view superb work has been done within the Russian-Armenian relations in the past two years in respect of strengthening and expanding cooperation in all directions: in politics, economy, military and military-engineering spheres,” – the ambassador emphasized. Moreover, in the course of the latest visit to Russia president Robert Kocharian confirmed Armenia’s readiness to join the EurazEC as an observer, which is an important moment in the foreign economic policy of Armenia and a serious move in respect of integration with the CIS countries, the Russian diplomat considers.
