A NUMBER OF COUNTRIES, INCLUDING ARMENIA, WILL NOT APPROVE OF FORMING INDEPENDENT KURDISTAN, IRAQI OPPOSITION REPRESENTATIVE CONSIDERS

There are countries – specifically Armenia, Iran, Syria, Turkey, Russia – which do not approve of forming independent Kurdistan in the north of Iraq. The opinion was expressed by member of the central committee of the Iraqi National Congress (INC) Muvaffak Fatuhi. As noted by “Mediamax” agency, the INC is considered a powerful political force opposed to the Saddam Hussein’s regime. Speaking of the future of North Iraq M. Fatuhi said, “I believe the civilized approach will triumph. Kurds, as a people are entitled to determine their future, but the integrity of Iraq is steadfast. Separation from it will be a hard cause.”
