In 2005 under the aegis of the Council of Europe (CE) a textbook of history of the Caucasus will be issued. It will concern Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia. As project director Tatyana Minkina told Interfax agency, a textbook of the Black Sea region will be issued this May. It will comprise 7 countries – Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine. In her words, the project goal is to show that “in spite of national peculiarities of each country, they have much in common and in their development the neighbors should proceed from their mutual interests.” The textbook will be published in English. In the future, if the countries wish, they can publish it in their languages, T. Minkina said.
