Deputy of the Canadian Parliament Sarkis Assadourian was elected as Chair of the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration by the members of the Committee. As reported by the deputy’s office, the Committee gathers information on all legislative initiatives relating to citizenship and immigration, as well as reviews the legislation introduced by the Government before discussion by the Parliament. It should be noted that before M.P. Assadourian was the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration.
