EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT SAID TURKEY ACCESSION TO EU INADMISSIBLE UNTIL IT LIFTS ILLEGAL BLOCKADE OF ARMENIA

The European Parliament intends to strictly follow the Copenhagen principles, according to which a state guilty in aggression against another one should not be included in the ranks of the European Union. As reported by “De Facto” agency, referring to the Euro-Armenian forum of justice and democracy, the Euro-parliamentarians assured members of an Armenian delegation, which had arrived in Brussels, of firmness of their stand. Let us remind that Turkey holds a blockade of Armenia due to a number of reasons, specifically because of official Yerevan aiming at official recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey.
