The vandals, who destroyed the headstones of Armenians at the Slavonic cemetery of the Russian town of Krasnodar, have been identified. As reported by Yerkramas, the newspaper of the Armenians of the South of Russia, the grouping consisted of 8 teenagers, the eldest of them being 16, the youngest 13 years old. According to the Head Department of Home Affairs of Krasnodar, the parents of the young vandals will have to pay a fine for the reconstruction of the destroyed gravestones. To remind, at night, March 2, over a dozen of Armenian graves were desecrated at the Slavonic cemetery of Krasnodar. Criminal case was initiated due to the article on hooliganism of the RF Criminal Code. After an analogous incident in April 2002, when more than 30 headstones were destroyed, the accused managed to avoid punishment thanks to competent lawyers.
