Argentina’s David Nalbandian defeated Steve Darcis (Belgium) in the first round of Sony Ericsson Open tournament in Miami. The 2-hour long meeting resulted in Nalbandian's 6:4, 7:6 victory over Darcis.
Nalbandian will be facing off against Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic in the second round of the tournament.
The tournament prize fund totals USD 4,8 mln.
