Armenia, Cameroon to exchange ambassadors

On May 9-10, Armenian Foreign Minster Edward Nalbandian met with his counterparts from Cameroon, Cuba, Zambia, Tunisia in the framework of the ministerial meeting of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member-states in Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt).

During the meeting with Foreign Minster of Cameroon Pierre Moukoko Mbonjo, the parties agreed on mutual appointment of ambassadors in capital cities of both countries, discussed cooperation areas, formation of a joint legal framework and collaboration in the framework of international organizations, particularly the UN, as well as International Organization of the Francophonie.

With his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister Nalbandian discussed implementation of steps towards development of bilateral ties and regional issues.

With Zambian Minister Given Lubinda, Edward Nalbandian dwelt on development prospects of bilateral relations, as well as processes underway in African continent.

Armenian and Tunisian Ministers of Foreign Affairs further exchanged views on intensification of political dialogue and consultations between the two countries, establishment of legal framework and cooperation in tourism industry, particularly visa facilitation.

On May 10, Minister Nalbandian departed for Cairo, where he is met with Armenian community representatives of Egypt. During the meeting he briefed on the latest developments in foreign policy, reform implementation, as well as outcomes of parliamentary elections in Armenia.
