Hayastan All Armenian Fund Pan-European Phoneathon raised Euro 1424776, with France, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Belgium and Netherlands having contributed significant sums, Nouvelles d'Arménie reported.
As the Fund had announced earlier, 10% of the sum raised in the November 15-18 phoneathon will be allocated for the outreach of Syrian Armenians.
Earlier, as suggested by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, the Fund’s board of trustees resolved to open bank accounts to collect sums to be spent in assistance to Syrian Armenians.
