Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, Cypriot Foreign Minister Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis, whose country holds the rotating EU presidency, and European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle inked a framework agreement stipulating for Armenia’s participation in EU programs.
The agreement was signed during a Brussels-hosted Armenia-EU cooperation council sitting on Monday, Dec 17.
The Armenian official hailed the importance of Association Agreement talks with the EU, as well as creation of a free trade zone, stressing Armenia’s intention to finalize talks before Eastern Partnership summit slated for Nov 2013.
