Russian peacekeepers are ensuring the safe visits of parishioners to Dadivank, the Armenian monastery in Nagorno-Karabakh's Karvachar region which will be handed over to Azerbaijan in the coming days, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov said Monday, November 16.

At the request of the locals, the Russian military has set up an observation post in the area, Konashenkov added.

"The command of the peacekeeping contingent has organized interaction with local administrations to resolve issues of religious communities," the spokesman noted.
