Azerbaijan and Armenia have exchanged 385 bodies of soldiers killed in fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh since November 13, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, told a briefing on Thursday, November 19, TASS reports.
Zakharova said more than 3,054 refugees have returned to Karabakh since November 14. At the same time, the diplomat noted that the population from the Karvachar region, which will be handed over to Azerbaijan in the coming days, are fleeing their homes and arriving in Armenia.
According to her, Russia's efforts create opportunities for a long-term settlement of the crisis in Karabakh. Zakharova added that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are visiting Moscow at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on November 17-19.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev have signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Karabakh (Artsakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan has said he has agreed to the deal signed by Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan.
