Italy’s San Vito dei Normanni recognizes Karabakh independence

The Italian town of San Vito dei Normanni has unanimously recognized the independence of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), Armenia's Embassy in Italy reports.

"We thank the members of the Municipal Council of San Vito dei Normanni for the unanimous adoption of the motion presented by the Councilor Vincenzo Calabretti," the Embassy said in a Facebook post.

With the resolution, the Municipality expressed solidarity with the people of Karabakh, condemned the Azerbaijani aggression and urgeed the authorities of Italy institutions to recognize the Republic of Artsakh.

The Australian state of New South Wales, several U.S. states and dozens of towns and cities across the world have already recognized Karabakh.
