Sweden's Foreign Minister Ann Linde believes it is important for the European Union to part of the process establishing peace in the South Caucasus.
Linde's comments came after European Council President Charles Michel hosted the fourth meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Brussels on August 31.
"Welcome continued strong engagement by [Michel] and the 4th meeting between leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Important for [the European Union] to be part of the process for peace and stability in the South Caucasus," Linde wrote in a tweet.
After the meeting, Pashinyan said the discussion he had with the President of Azerbaijan in Brussels "was not easy". According to him, everyone should understand that possible solutions along the way are not obvious. He stressed that it is necessary to work consistently to achieve the goals. He assured that all the matters will be discussed with the public and political forces when the right time comes.
