AFP has shared new photos of the Ghazanchetsots Cathedral in Shushi – an Armenian town in Nagorno-Karabakh captured by Azerbaijan in the 2020 war.
The photos shows that the domes of the historic Armenian church have been removed, and the historical and architectural appearance of the building has been distorted.
During the 44-day war in 2020, Azerbaijan bombed the Armenian cathedral twice, which damaged the iconic church and left several journalists injured.
