Armen Sarkisyan, head of the Donetsk People's Republic Boxing Federation and commander of the 'Arbat' volunteer battalion, who sustained severe injuries from an explosion in Moscow's 'Alye Parusa' residential complex, has died in the hospital, reports RIA Novosti.
In addition to Sarkisyan, two other individuals died, and four were hospitalized.
Ukraine had issued a warrant for Sarkisyan's arrest.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. It is noted that the assassination attempt on Sarkisyan was meticulously planned and ordered. Investigators are currently identifying the masterminds behind the crime, reports TASS.
The explosion occurred on the morning of February 3 in the entrance of the 'Alye Parusa' residential complex on Aviatsionnaya Street. Investigators and forensic experts from the Moscow Investigative Committee are examining the scene alongside operational services.
