Armenia and Azerbaijan are in the final phase of negotiations over a peace agreement. According to Report, this statement was made by U.S. President Donald Trump during an official dinner with American senators. His speech was broadcast on U.S. television networks.
“Armenia, Azerbaijan — we performed a miracle there, and [the peace agreement] is almost finalized,” the U.S. President said.
On July 10, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met in Abu Dhabi and discussed various aspects of the Armenia-Azerbaijan interstate normalization agenda. Both sides confirmed that bilateral negotiations remain the most effective format for addressing all matters concerning the normalization process and agreed to continue such result-oriented dialogue. The meeting lasted five hours.
