Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin held a meeting during the international forum on nature and environmental protection in the Altai Republic of the Russian Federation.
According to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk, the two leaders discussed economic cooperation and Russian investments in Armenia, as reported by RIA Novosti.
"We focused on the development of trade and economic cooperation," Overchuk stated.
He emphasized that Russia is concerned about the declining trade turnover with Armenia, prompting talks on necessary measures to address the issue.
According to an Armenian statement, the meeting also covered the current state of Armenia-Russia relations. The agenda included bilateral cooperation, collaboration within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and other issues of mutual interest.
Pashinyan is on a two-day visit to Russia.
