The Baku military court resumed the fabricated trial against former Artsakh state minister Ruben Vardanyan on August 5, with alleged victims testifying about injuries purportedly sustained during aggression against Artsakh.
During the hearing, individuals claiming injury described wounds allegedly inflicted by Armenian armed forces or associated groups. None had personal or direct connection with Vardanyan and said they only knew him from media and social networks.
The panel, presided over by Judge Zeynal Agayev with Judges Anar Rzayev and Jamal Ramazanov, heard testimony of injuries from sniper fire, mortar shells, artillery explosions, and landmines – all attributed to Armenian forces or affiliated armed groups.
All alleged victims demanded the maximum penalty for Vardanyan, despite no evidence tying him to their injuries.
The next court session is scheduled for August 12.
