Iran’s President plans Armenia visit in two weeks

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled to travel to Armenia in two weeks, Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has said.

According to him, the president’s trip to China is expected next month, during the Iranian calendar month of Shahrivar. The purpose of the visit is to attend the summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization leaders.

The foreign minister had earlier mentioned the upcoming trip to China during his visit to Beijing on April 23, which took place amid indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington.

Masoud Pezeshkian has previously visited countries including Iraq, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Egypt, and Pakistan. His latest foreign visit, which occurred earlier this week, was to Pakistan, a trip Araghchi called “a very good trip.”
