Georgia deports 34 foreigners, including Armenians

In recent days, Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs Migration Department, in close cooperation with its relevant divisions, carried out comprehensive operations resulting in the deportation of 34 foreign nationals, including citizens of Armenia.

Among those deported also were nationals of India, Russia, Nigeria, Iran, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Kenya, and Kyrgyzstan, according to Georgia Online.

Under current legislation, the deported individuals are prohibited from reentering Georgia.

The Migration Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for combating illegal migration in the country. One of its primary functions is identifying foreign nationals residing in Georgia without legal grounds and ensuring their compulsory removal.
