Pakistan has no plans to reconsider its policy toward Armenia without first discussing the matter with Azerbaijan, Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Moinuddin told Minval.az .
The diplomat said Pakistan has yet to recognize Armenia as an independent state due to what he called the “illegal occupation of Azerbaijani territories.”
“This is an expression of love, respect, and solidarity with brotherly Azerbaijan. We have followed this policy for three decades, and any changes will come only after consultations with our Azerbaijani friends,” Moinuddin said.
Pakistan has consistently supported Azerbaijan since the start of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and provided active backing during the 2020 war. Since then, it has held multiple joint military exercises with Azerbaijan, including trilateral drills involving Turkey.
