Armenia must carefully evaluate all relevant factors before deciding between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the European Union (EU), Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said, according to APA.
“Previously, [Prime Minister] Pashinyan stated it is impossible to be a member of both the EAEU and the EU. If such a decision is ever made, I am confident that all the factors influencing the direction taken will be thoroughly analyzed,” the Russian official emphasized.
On August 15, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said at the EAEU Intergovernmental Council meeting in Kazakhstan that Armenia prioritizes the establishment of common energy markets within the EAEU and the strengthening of energy security.
