European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos will pay an official visit to Armenia on September 19–20, as part of her regional tour, the EU Delegation in Yerevan announced.
The agenda includes presenting the EU’s interregional connectivity program as a key driver of sustainable regional development.
Kos will hold official meetings with President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, and Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan.
She will attend the signing of two agreements with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), visit the EU4Sevan biodiversity project site, and tour the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies.
The commissioner will also meet with civil society organizations, women leaders, and Young European Ambassadors.
Earlier in Baku, Kos stated that the EU is ready to engage in the South Caucasus peace process. She described her talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev as effective and open, particularly addressing connectivity issues.
