Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov attended a dinner in New York hosted by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Rubio organized the 2025 Transatlantic Dinner, which brought together foreign ministers from NATO member states, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, EU High Representative Kaja Kallas, as well as top diplomats from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Switzerland, and Ukraine, according to RRE/RL.

Rubio highlighted the role of the U.S. President in shaping the path toward lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

According to a State Department release, Rubio emphasized the importance of transatlantic cooperation in promoting peace and economic prosperity.

He also referred to NATO members’ historic commitment to boosting deterrence through increased defense spending and underscored the need to continue diplomatic efforts to help resolve the Russia–Ukraine war.

Earlier, during an appearance on Fox and Friends, Rubio stated that U.S. President Donald Trump had invested more energy than other world leaders into achieving peace, delivering tangible results. He credited Trump with helping to find a way forward in the Armenia–Azerbaijan issue.
