Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov are expected to attend the Silk Road Forum, set for October 22–23 in Tbilisi. The event will officially open with a speech by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
So far, neither the Armenian nor the Azerbaijani governments has officially confirmed their participation, reports RFE/RL’s Armenian service.
The forum is set to bring together around 2,000 delegates, including senior officials, business leaders, heads of international organizations, representatives of global companies, financial institutions, and policy experts.
This year's edition, held every two years since its 2015 launch, will focus on investment opportunities in stable environments. Discussions will cover global trade, transport and logistics infrastructure, the Middle Corridor, energy, digital transformation, and more.
In the previous 2023 forum, both Pashinyan and Asadov participated, and a trilateral meeting was held with then-Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili.
