On November 5, European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, Magdalena Grono, met in Baku with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. During the meeting, Grono expressed the EU’s readiness to support the Washington agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
According to APA, the discussion covered the current state and future prospects of EU-Azerbaijan cooperation, the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process, as well as regional and international issues.
"Jeyhun Bayramov informed his counterpart about the progress of negotiations and the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and presented Baku’s position," the official statement said.
*On August 8, a trilateral meeting was held at the White House between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. President Donald Trump, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, resulting in the signing of a joint declaration summarizing the outcomes of the Washington meeting.
