On January 17, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Grigory Karasin and Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Gordon discussed Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process.
Transnistria was also in the focus of the meeting.
Besides, Russian and U.S. ties with Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova and South Caucasus states were considered, Russian Foreign Ministry's press service reported.
On January 23, Sochi will host a subsequent trilateral meeting with Presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan who will discuss Karabakh conflict resolution process.
