Former U.S. ambassador in Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza joined the protest action in Taksim square in Istanbul on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the so-called “Khojalu genocide” on February 26.
“I know about the action in Taksim, and I’m joining it,” Matthew Bryza declared.
According to different estimates, the action in Taksim square on February 26 brought together about 50 000 people, mostly representatives of Azerbaijani and Turkish youth. Activists carried posters with anti-Armenian slogans.
